Go to application

The company SUPERWURM is the owner of Germany's largest worm breeding facility. During rearing, the spatial conditions and feeding are particularly important. So that everything can run perfectly coordinated, the provider relies on cost-effective automation

The problem

Sorting the worms by hand is a very laborious task and is simply no longer possible from a certain mass. In addition, the work is very dirty due to the soil in which the worms have to be bred.

The solution

In order to cover the steadily increasing demand for breeding worms, easy-to-integrate and cost-effective automation solutions are required. In this case, an igus room linear robot was used combined with a camera system and a conveyor unit.
