Sound pressure level comparison: E61.29 is the favorite for particularly quiet operation

In many industries, an ever greater significance is ascribed to the sound pressure level of machines. Thus the individual machine elements, also including energy chains, for example, are selected with due consideration of this aspect. Consequently, igus® has now conducted tests to determine which energy chains of the series E6.29 and E61.29 are most suitable for applications where there is sensitivity to the sound pressure level.

For this, both chains were moved at 1, 2, 4 and 6 m/s by a tester wearing head hones in accordance with a clock generator.
Sound pressure level test with E6

E6.1 Sound pressure level test 1 m/s: 32 dB(A)
2 m/s: 36 dB(A)
4 m/s: 44 dB(A)
6 m/s: 57 dB(A)

Result:

Compared with E6.29.070.055.0, the E61.20.070.055.0 produces less noise at the same speed.
