Reclaimers / bucket wheel excavators

e-chain systems as an alternative to slip rings, cable reels and festoon systems

The systems traditionally used for transmitting energy can often be replaced by e-chain systems for both new equipment and for the retrofit of existing stackers and reclaimers, which is usually an advantage. Here, possible benefits are:
  • Simultaneous transmission of different media
  • Continuous connection of fibre optic cables or wire-bound data connections
  • Minimum maintenance
  • Shorter cable lengths
  • Less space required (no loop stations)
  • Resistance to weathering effects

Rotating energy supply in stackers and reclaimers

igus rotating energy supplies achieve a wide range of circular movements. Rotation angles of up to 900° have been achieved. Please consult us for your particular application.

Circular movements require less installation height. The e-chains slide mostly on surfaces made of plastic, stainless steel or steel and are guided in a circular movement by guide plates. Bend radii, circular radii and chain widths are variable.
