MFG has developed LabelMonkey to simplify the process of labelling pallets. In this cell, shipping labels are printed and automatically applied by the robot arm to the industrial goods on pallets. Thanks to two print modules, the labelling process can be greatly simplified and accelerated.

The problem

The simple and monotonous task of labelling ready-to-ship pallets is an important part of logistics processes. Robotic units in this area are often very expensive. The solution from MFG therefore consistently relies on Low Cost Automation components in order to be able to offer a solution that can be integrated cost-effectively.

The solution

An robolink RL-DP mounted overhead with five degrees of freedom in a complete cell. In addition, two print heads were installed. The whole setup is controlled via the igus Robot Control system. Due to the flexibility of the robot arm, ready-to-ship pallets can be automatically labelled from two to three sides.
