The mobile flip chart - CompactChart

Flexible, innovative and light

The CompactChart from Compact Solutions GmbH stands out as an all-rounder compared to a normal flip chart. Thanks to the integrated flip holder, the CompactChart can be converted from a whiteboard to a flip chart. In this way, parts of the presentation can be put on paper in advance or elaborations can be saved for a later date. With only seven kilograms, the CompactChart is a real lightweight. It weighs half as much as conventional flip charts and can be easily transported anywhere by bus, train, car or plane. With its linear technology, igus helps to make the CompactChart light, easy to use and practical. The CompactChart can be set up in less than ten seconds in two easy steps - without any tools.

Profile:

  • What was needed: drylin® N guide rails in combination with guide carriages
  • Requirements: The components should be particularly light in order not to increase the carrying weight significantly. In addition, no lubricating greases or oils must contaminate the carrier. The linear guide should strengthen the flip chart and have low friction. In addition, assembly/disassembly should be possible intuitively without instructions.
  • Products used: drylin® N low-profile guide system
  • Success for the customer: The linear guides used offer high resilience, are absolutely clean and maintenance-free and lubrication-free. There is also a long service life. For the transport of the CompactCharts, the products from igus are extremely light due to the aluminium and plastic materials and extremely space-saving with a system width of 17mm and a height of 9.5mm.

Problem

It's difficult to design a flip chart that is intuitive and easy to use at the same time, but also robust enough to withstand temperatures and individual environments, e.g. during transport. The heavy and bulky design of traditional flip charts makes it difficult to transport. It must also be ready to use without any additional explanations or preparations. Weight also plays a big role.

Solution

In addition to the compact type, the drylin® N guide system is particularly impressive due to its robust design. Whether used indoors or outdoors, at high or low temperatures, in a clean or dirty environment, the system works smoothly and in a fail-safe manner.  Taking the CompactChart with you is easy, as is the set-up. Users do not need to carry out any maintenance, once installed it reliably fulfils its requirements.

Function and service life of all drylin® N sizes predictable around the clock in the online configurator for linear technology.  For this purpose, all CAD models of the drylin® N linear guides can be loaded.
