Traversers connect tracks in workshops and in the open with each other to move wagons and control cars and locomotives. While the traverser is in motion, a safe energy supply must be guaranteed at all times, e.g. by means of signal lamps or a control panel. To guarantee the permanent functionality of the traverser despite frequent use, chainflex cables are used. These cables are designed specifically for moving applications and high loads. In order to guide the cables safely when moving the traverser, energy chains by igus are used. They also increase the service life of the cables. Both cables and e-chains can be used with small bend radii and therefore be installed in a space-saving manner.   
 

The plastic energy supply systems and chainflex cables withstand weather and dirt without problems. They can also be used for long travels or with unsupported loads without hesitation. With readycable, igus furthermore offers completely pre-harnessed e-chains with cables and connectors that can be directly fixed to the traverser.
