readychain® p-rack - carries a lot, weighs

little, sustainably produced

readychain® p-rack

The first additive manufacture e-chain® rack made from cornstarch

Industrial customising: printed to measure in 36 hours

More than ten years ago, igus® offered customers individual transport and assembly solutions with the patented, modular design of the readychain® rack. This year's novelty readychain® p-rack is a very flexible and simple addition for readychain® customers so that they can benefit from the advantages of a customised solution even faster.

Customisation, process optimisation, efficiency

The above terms are indispensable in any industrial production. What has been part of everyday life for a long time, igus® uses very successfully in industrial harnessing and when creating ready-to-connect assemblies. With the help of additive manufacturing methods such as 3D printing, "customised" igus® transport and assembly solutions are possible for customer projects. Modules that are precisely tailored to the application offer individual solutions and thus not only save time and money in advance, for example for the construction, but also trouble and effort through subsequent adjustments. This ideal installation solution pays off from batch size one. If larger quantities are involved, volume and transport costs can be saved for returns thanks to the reduced weight and the modular design.

Quick and easy assembly

The readychain® p-rack (printed rack) is a practical example of an individual and precisely fitting solution: all add-on parts are produced using 3D printing and thus fit the technical framework conditions or the customer's interface with millimetre precision - with practically unlimited possibilities in terms of geometry. Where so far complex metalworking by specialists was required, the components are now printed within 36 hours. The parts are not only manufactured much faster, they are also a lot lighter than their metal predecessors. The weight, reduced by up to 80%, saves resources and makes handling much easier and safer. The smooth-running construction operates smoothly and helps reduce installation effort by up to 66%. The assembly/disassembly is carried out completely without additional hand tools

Sustainable and robust

All add-on parts of the readychain® p-rack can be printed from corn starch, among other things. This means that almost all geometries can be realised quickly; at the same time, the material is very robust and absolutely "rustproof". The material can be completely regranulated and reused.
